Pink and Gray Valentine Goodies

I came across another adorable line of Valentine papers at a local scrapbook store this week and Bought a couple sheets. One sheet had these ATC sized tags on them. I cut them out, rounded corners and attached to the front of the cards. I used up some lips and word stickers that  I had left from a a previous workshop. I then attached candy looking hearts or glittery hearts and Viola! The chevron bags are my absolute favorite.I purchased the bags at www.cakesandkids.com . I added heart shaped paper doilies, punched hearts, rub- ons, and clothes pins (Target $1 spot) to finishe them off. I am really digging the gray paired with the shades of red and pink this year. Valentine Workshop 2013

Sorry its been so long since my last blog post. I (and many others) have not been able to upload any pictures for nearly a month due to Google/ Blogger having repeated technical difficulties. Its been very crazy and frustrating.  Nonetheless, I'm posting today. I hope all of you have been well and the Holidays were enjoyable and pleasant. Mine were very restful and enjoyable. I was done Christmas shopping by 12-10-12 so I enjoyed time hosting parties, attending parties, crafting, and watching many movies.  My husband, who has traveled much this past year with work, took 1 week off between Christmas and New Years and we literally were couch potatoes for 2 solid days. We didn't shower, stayed in pjs and laid around catching up on TV and movies. It was fabulous! My tree was down by New Years Day. I returned to work 2-2-13.
Ok, lets get on with the post you came to see. I hosted a Valentine Workshop last weekend and these are the projects we made. The paper is some I found last year and was available at Archivers (exclusive). The mini pouch is made from old SU! paper. The 3D heart was punched,  folded,  and layered using 5-6 SU! hearts from punch. The notch on the mini pouch was made using 1" circle punch. The plaid box (left) was store bought and altered. The center, which said 'its a girl' was covered with 1" blue card stock,  stickers, and rub ons. We filled the box with red m&ms. The card measures 3"x3" and uses the same paper used to punch hearts on pouch. Perfectly sweet little ensemble... don't ya think?

the box was made from SU!s fancy favor Bigz XL die cut. This box is my favorite one to use. Its very versatile. You can make it with a handle, ribbon straps, seal the top, leave the top open, etc... The white paper doily was found at local craft store in the cake decorating aisle (Wilton). I found the  glitter ledger paper center accent at the same local craft store for 25 cents. Yes, you read the correct, 25 cents each. Ummm... Duh... I definitely bought every one they had. They worked perfectly. I could not make them for 25cents nor did I want to.
These are the adorable bags we made. I found these at www.cakesandkids.com. They really have some great things. Its hard to see from the picture but, the pink paper had lips embossed all over it. ADORABLE! Fold the paper doily in half, place over top, add some pink and blue punched hearts, layer with sticker words and lips, then finish with adorable arrow clothes pin. I found the clothes pins at Target in their $1 spot. PERFECT! Finish the front of the bags with some Washi Tape.
Here are the treat boxes and bags filled and ready to give to my Valentines (daughters). I filled the favor boxes with pencils, straws, gum balls, candy bars, eye shadows, and lip glosses. The goody bags are filled with bakery wrapped sugar cookies. I found some jelly bracelets (heart shaped) for additional goodies.
