BISCOTTI POUCH

Made this little Biscotti pouch from an idea I found on a blog a while back. The inspiration was Christmas themed and used larger (longer) Biscotti. I will try some more at Christmas time with larger Biscotti to be more like the inspiration piece. I love biscotti and thought this would be a nice little gift to give my DD's teacher Friday at their fall party along with a pouch mix of Spiced Cider.

Used LOVELY AS A TREE SU! set. Sponged trees with Pumpkin Pie, Really Rust, Summer Sun, More Mustard, Old Olive, Always Artichoke classic inks. The sky was sponged in Bashful Blue. Bought a new punch (Acorn) and used it in bottom right corner of the pouch front. Fringe leaf punch (MS) used in top left and bottom right corners for further depth. Misc green butons also used to accent. Dyed the ribbon with really rust ink and tied the top and bottom together.

BOO

Love this vintage looking banner. Isn't it beautiful? The letters were traced and then hand cut from a cereal box (talk about going green) and glittered in Galaxy Black Fine Glitter. The black accordian printed paper was trimmed with decorative edge scissors, distressed a little, arranged, and glued onto the orange cardstock circle disk. Thin polyester ribbon used to link the 3 disks all together.

Made these cute little cello bagged goodies yesterday. I found the large candy skeleton rings and matching candy bracelets at my favorite store (T). I packaged them in the small cello bags together and made a matching topper for each bag. I will give these to my girls and their friends for Halloween. Thanks for stopping by. Stop by again.

CUPCAKE TOTES

Yesterday was National Cupcake Day which gave me the perfect opportunity to make a cute ensemble that I have had stored in my favorites from a couple blogs sites (Nicole Heady's, and Michelle Wooderson's) for about a year now. They are two very talented papercrafters that I absolutely love.
These totes are made to fit around a cake mix box. The frosting container is then wrapped with papers or a cardstock of your choice. Aren't they cute?
My inspirations from Nicole and Michelle, were Valentine and Birthday themed but I decided to go all out and make HALLOWEEN, of course. I found a small box of cupcake mix at the grocery store (this only makes 12 cupcakes) it was a little smaller than the inspirational patterns so I had to tweak my pattern and adjust to fit this box size. Then the pocket on the front of the tote had to be adjusted as well, which led to adjusting the card size also. I made cupcake toppers with various Halloween images and hot glued them onto decorative plastic toothpicks and placed in a vellum-type bag. This bag is the one seen in the front pocket.
I had a really good time making these, although they took me hours to make. I gave them to two of my best friends this evening at dinner. They loved them. I will definitely be making more of these in the future. They would work great with Pillsbury (Funfetti) for all Holidays and occasions.

Lazer Sticker Spooky Tags

Used lazer cut stickers to create some "Spooktacular" tags.
Did I mention how much I love Halloween- my kids say its the "witch" in me. Ha ha ha ha. I should say "Mwaah haa!"

GETTING SPOOKED!

Halloween is my absolute favorite Holiday. I love everything orange & black (mix in a little purple, red, and lime green).
I got some time Monday and Tuesday (because my youngest has been home sick) to play with some new ideas, items, old stamps, and some things bought from SU! last Fall but not used yet (I guess that qualifies as being new doesn't it?)
I used a favorite sketch challenge to assist with one of the card layouts and I rummaged through the cupboard and came across the old (1997) SU! set called FUN FACES. I used this set on the triangle box template I came across. Thanks for stopping by.
