NOT TOO SHABBY

I have been on a mission trying to find these vintage paper frame (easel and folder style) in many antique and thrift shops in a 50 mile radius. I had luck finding a few. They've been sitting here for a couple weeks and I have been waiting to do something unique with them. Although I do not regularly do grunge style crafts, I love playing and exlporing this style. Its always so fun and Tim Holtz makes it easy. I love his tutorials and products.

When I came across the TATTERED FLORAL challenge on T!m Holtz' blog site, I knew that I wanted to use a frame and dabble into a project that I seen in a local vintage shop. I attached this distressed cardboard picture to the front of this tattered frame using epoxy and hot glue. I used T!m's metal corners, and LOVE key. I wrapped wire (wish I had rusty wire) around the frame and strung distressed beads on the front. I constructed the flower as T!m directs from his blog. I didn't have the printed tissue paper roll so I used vintage music sheets. I layered the tag with flower, key, fibers, and love bird picture.
I LOVE how it turned out and cannot wait to make more next week during my Spring Break. I think I may make some easter floral jewelry using the TATTERED FLORALS. Check back...
